Long-Service Employee Awards

This year's list of long-service award recipients is interesting. From a team leader with 22 years of service to our CEO with 17 years, they all received awards. Their combined experience alone easily tops a hundred years, so the newer members could not help but applaud. If they were grains, they would be fragrant, excellent rice like 'Haiami' grown in Yeongam or 'Gold Queen No. 3,' the pride of Seokgok-myeon in Gokseong — rice outstanding in both nutrition and flavor. A 'CEO' is not usually included in such a lineup, but somehow it feels more fitting to stand side by side with the long-serving staff on the floor. There is no rule that a CEO cannot be encouraged for long service, and since it is the company that offers the encouragement, it makes sense for the company to cheer on the CEO as well. Especially now, as a crisis in 'fisheries' approaches in Korea, a country surrounded by sea on three sides, mutual encouragement, support and cheering are greatly needed. Where these long-serving employees stand now lie the depth of the time and space that has passed and the rough road still ahead.
