The Sea

The sea has been a source not only of food but also of literary imagination for humanity — as shown by Hemingway's <The Old Man and the Sea>, Herman Melville's <Moby-Dick>, and Yun Seon-do, who sang of the simple life of fishermen.

This year, Deokhwa succeeded in purchasing 100% of its raw materials as MSC-certified catch. This continues our selection as the company in Korea's industry that sells the most MSC-certified sustainable seafood, and our back-to-back 'Best Product' awards at the MSC Korea Awards. We will keep working so that every product we sell can carry the MSC certification mark.
Deokhwa buys MSC-certified seafood every year and joins MSC in sustainable fishing to repay the imagination for an alternative way of life that we have gained from the 'sea.' We believe that caring for the sea not as humanity's 'resource' but as part of humanity's 'community' is what will ultimately save the planet and ourselves.
On World Oceans Day, June 8, as a company devoted to researching and making only pollock roe, and properly, Deokhwa once again reflects on the meaning and value of the sea and renews its firm commitment to living together and coexisting. Thank you.
